The Western North Regional Deputy Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Jesse Yaw Aidoo, has appealed to the President-Elect John Dramani Mahama to make youth job creation a top priority in his upcoming administration.
Aidoo made this call during the ‘Yafa Adi’ Victory Walk, a celebratory procession held in the Sefwi Wiawso constituency to commemorate the NDC’s victory in the recent presidential elections.
Addressing a gathering of party supporters, Jesse Yaw Aidoo emphasized the critical role the youth played in securing the NDC’s electoral success.
“The youth were pivotal to the NDC’s victory, and we expect President-Elect Mahama to reward their efforts with concrete steps to create sustainable job opportunities,” he said.
He highlighted the pressing issue of unemployment, stressing that it remains a significant challenge for young people in Ghana.
“The youth do not need empty promises. We need practical solutions, jobs, and opportunities to secure a better future. We trust President-Elect Mahama to deliver on his commitments,” Jesse Yaw Aidoo added.
In a related statement, Israel Dzakpata, the NDC Constituency Youth Organizer for Sefwi Wiawso Constituency, reiterated the commitment of the youth to supporting John Dramani Mahama and the Member of Parliament-Elect for Sefwi Wiawso, Afful Kofi Benteh.
“The youth delivered on their promise by standing firmly behind President-Elect Mahama and Benteh. Now, it is up to the leadership to prioritize the creation of jobs for young people who worked tirelessly for this victory,” Dzakpata said in an interview.
