Sefwi All Stars triumph over King Faisal back-to-back in DOL

Sefwi All Stars has secured a historic away victory against King Faisal in the matchday 17 held at the Ejisu Okese Park.

Sefwi All Stars showcased their dominance in the 2023/24 Access Bank Division One League with a remarkable back-to-back triumph over King Faisal.

In October 2023, the Western North-based club clinched a 2-1 victory over King Faisal during the first round of the campaign at the Asafo Ramos Park.

At Okese Park on Wednesday, March 13, the first half saw both teams display an impressive level of skill and determination, with Sefwi All Stars edging ahead slightly in terms of possession.

Despite King Faisal’s efforts to maintain control, it was Seedorf Boateng’s strike in the 38th minute that broke the deadlock, giving Sefwi All Stars the lead going into halftime.

After the break, King Faisal intensified their efforts, launching a barrage of attacks in search of an equalizer.

Despite creating numerous scoring opportunities, they were thwarted by a resolute Sefwi All Stars defense, unable to find the back of the net.

With the final whistle, Sefwi All Stars emerged victorious, clinching their first away win of the season. With this victory, Sefwi All Stars has climbed to 9th position in the league table, amassing a total of 23 points from 17 games.

Meanwhile, the team will be looking to build on this success as they prepare to face Future Stars on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at the Asafo Ramos Park.
