Kofi Benteh Afful, the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Sefwi Wiawso Constituency, has donated 350 branded packs of exercise books to Tanoso M/A Primary School.
The donation occurred during the school’s 30th-anniversary celebration on Thursday, July 25, 2024.
Addressing the attendees at the anniversary event, Kofi Benteh Afful underscored the significance of education and reiterated his commitment to fostering the academic growth of students within the constituency.
He emphasized the collective responsibility to ensure every child has access to quality education and the necessary resources to thrive.
“It is an honour to be here today as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Tanoso M/A Primary School. Education is the cornerstone of our future, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that every child can learn and grow in a conducive environment.” Afful stated.
He continued, “As a community, we must come together to support our schools and provide the necessary resources for our children. I am pleased to donate these exercise books to Tanoso M/A Primary School. I believe that with the right tools and support, our students can achieve great things and contribute positively to our society.”
Kofi Benteh Afful also called upon all stakeholders to maintain their efforts to enhance the quality of education in the constituency.
“I urge all stakeholders to continue working together to improve the quality of education in our constituency. Let us invest in our children’s future, for they are the leaders of tomorrow.”
Receiving the books on behalf of the school, Mrs. Antoinette Kumi, the staff secretary, expressed profound gratitude for the generous donation.
She highlighted the positive impact these exercise books would have on the students’ learning experiences.
“We are deeply grateful for this kind gesture; these exercise books will significantly aid our students in their studies.”
Several students also praised Kofi Benteh Afful for his generosity.
“We are very happy and thankful for these new exercise books, it will make our studies easier and more enjoyable. Kofi Benteh Afful has shown that he cares about our education, and we promise to make the best use of these books.”
