Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council and Festus Bumankama Agyapong, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Sefwi Wiawso Constituency, have stepped up to support Isaac Amoako in his quest to break the Guinness World Record for the longest reading-aloud marathon.
Isaac Amoako, a native of Sefwi Adjoafua with a passion for literacy and cultural preservation, has been gearing up for his monumental attempt scheduled to take place at the National Children’s and Mobile Library in Accra from 5th March to 12th March 2024.
Facing financial hurdles just days before the event, the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council has generously contributed an undisclosed sum to aid in Amoako’s preparations for the upcoming Guinness World Record Reading Marathon, set to take place next week at the Airport Residential Area.
Additionally, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Sefwi Wiawso Constituency, Festus Bumankama Agyapong, has also lent his support to the cause, providing undisclosed financial assistance to empower Amoako in his endeavour.
Bumankama’s gesture underscores his commitment not only to Amoako’s personal success but also to the advancement of Sefwi land, the Western North Region, and Ghana as a whole.
The contributions from the Traditional Council and Bumankama highlight the unity and community spirit inherent in Sefwi Wiawso, as locals rally behind one of their own in pursuit of a remarkable achievement.
Isaac Amoako’s determination to break the Guinness World Record serves as a testament to his passion for literacy and cultural preservation.
Amoako’s attempt not only aims to secure a place in the record books but also serves as a poignant reminder of the significance of literacy and cultural heritage in shaping the future of communities.
