WENDA Ghana to organise debate for Parliamentary Candidates in Western North Region

The Western North Development Association (WENDA Ghana) has announced plans to organize debates for parliamentary candidates representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the entire Western North Region ahead of the upcoming elections.

This initiative seeks to provide a platform for candidates to articulate their visions and policies directly to the electorate, enabling voters to make informed decisions at the polls.

According to the schedule released by WENDA, the debates will be held across various constituencies in the region on the following dates:

  1. Wiawso Municipality Debate: June 23, 2024
  2. Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality Debate: July 7, 2024
  3. Akontombra District Debate: July 21, 2024
  4. Juaboso and Bodi Debate: August 4, 2024
  5. Bia West and Bia East Debate: August 18, 2024
  6. Aowin and Suaman Debate: September 1, 2024

However, Ghana is currently seeking at least two moderators to oversee each of these crucial debates. Individuals interested in taking on the role of moderator are encouraged to step forward and contribute to this significant civic initiative.

Interested parties can contact WENDA Regional Secretary, Maxwell Baidoo, at 0247434025 to express their willingness to serve as moderators for these debates.

This initiative underscores WENDA Ghana’s commitment to promoting democratic participation and ensuring that constituents have access to vital information directly from their prospective representatives.

With these debates, WENDA aims to facilitate informed decision-making among voters and promote transparency in the electoral process.
