The Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, has received 10 Apsonic motorcycles donated by Tamale-based motorcycle dealer, Oboye Azimah, in support of the 42nd National Farmers’ Day Celebration.
The donation forms part of the company’s contribution towards the successful organisation of this year’s Farmers’ Day activities and its broader commitment to supporting Ghana’s agricultural sector.
Receiving the motorcycles on behalf of the Ministry, Eric Opoku expressed appreciation to Oboye Azimah for the gesture, describing it as a valuable contribution to the Ministry’s efforts to advance agriculture and honour the hard work of farmers across the country.
The Minister called on individuals, businesses and other organisations to support the development of agriculture, stressing that contributions of all sizes could make a meaningful difference to the sector.
He said stronger collaboration between government and the private sector was essential to creating the needed support systems for farmers and improving agricultural productivity.
The Chief Executive Officer of Oboye Azimah, Imoro Abdul Razak, said the company was pleased to partner with the Ministry in supporting the agricultural sector.
He explained that the donation reflected the company’s commitment to contributing to Ghana’s agricultural development and expressed the hope that Oboye Azimah would be able to sustain and expand its support as the company grows its operations across the country.
The 10 Apsonic motorcycles are expected to support activities related to this year’s National Farmers’ Day celebration, scheduled for Friday, December 4, 2026, while further strengthening the partnership between the private sector and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
