It’s possible we can win the League – Bibiani Goldstars Head Coach

The head coach of Bibiani Goldstars, Frimpong Manso, has made a bold statement, declaring that his side is fully capable of clinching the Ghana Premier League title this season.

In a pre-match interview ahead of their Week 18 clash against Legon Cities on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium, Frimpong Manso, Manso expressed his confidence in the team’s potential to win the league.

He stated that the current form of Bibiani Goldstars and their position at the top of the table are clear indications that they are serious title contenders.

With a total of 33 points, Bibiani Goldstars are currently at the summit of the Premier League standings, and Frimpong Manso believes they have what it takes to maintain their place at the top.

“In this second round of the league, we are going all out,” Manso said with conviction. “It’s possible we can win the league. We are not afraid of any team now. At this point, if we are currently at the top of the league, no one can write us off as not being a contender for the title. We believe in our team, and we are working towards winning the league.”

Manso’s statement comes as a reminder of the impressive performances Bibiani Goldstars have shown throughout the first half of the season, where they have consistently shown resilience, determination, and tactical discipline under his guidance.

The Goldstars have defied expectations in the current season, showcasing a balanced mix of attacking flair and defensive solidity.

Their ability to grind out results has earned them the respect of both fans and pundits alike. However, Manso is fully aware of the challenges that lie ahead, especially as the second round of the league promises tougher competition and higher stakes.

As they prepare to face Legon Cities, a team that has shown promise in recent matches, Frimpong Manso emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and not being distracted by the team’s current standing.

“We cannot afford to become complacent. Legon Cities will be a tough opponent, and we have to approach this match with the same intensity and commitment we have shown all season.”
