Ghanaian musician Kwabena Lyta has embarked on a mission to promote his native language, Sefwi, through his music on a global scale.
Lyta, known for his fervent dedication to his roots, passionately expresses his love for the Sefwi language and its people.
“I feel deeply connected to the Sefwi language and culture. It’s a part of who I am, and I want to share its beauty and richness with the world,” he stated in a recent interview.
Acknowledging the importance of preserving indigenous languages, Kwabena Lyta sees his musical platform as a powerful tool for cultural preservation and dissemination.
“I consider myself blessed to have been raised in the Sefwi community, and I am determined not to let our language fade away. Instead, I want to use it to inspire and educate others,” he emphasized.
Currently, Kwabena Lyta is actively promoting his latest Sefwi song titled “Chopbar,” which showcases the vibrant rhythms and melodies of the region while celebrating its unique linguistic heritage.
