Sefwi All Stars hold Soccer Intellectuals at Eduyaw Asasan Park

Sefwi All Stars secured a 3-3 away draw against Soccer Intellectuals during week 29 of the Access Bank Division One League at Edu Yaw Asasan Park.

The game started with a bang as Junior Yeboah broke the deadlock for Sefwi All Stars in the 14th minute. However, the lead was short-lived as Nana Abakah equalized for Soccer Intellectuals just a minute later.

Junior Yeboah continued to shine, scoring his second goal of the match in the 21st minute, putting Sefwi All Stars ahead once more. The first half ended with the visitors leading 2-1.

The second half saw Soccer Intellectuals fight back, with Anthony Owusu netting the equalizer in the 55th minute.

The home crowd’s excitement was dampened shortly thereafter when Ebenezer Okrah scored, restoring Sefwi All Stars’ lead and making it 3-2.

As the match drew to a close, Anthony Owusu emerged as the hero for Soccer Intellectuals, scoring his second goal to secure a dramatic equalizer.

This result leaves Sefwi All Stars in the 7th position with 41 points, having a game in hand, while Soccer Intellectuals sit 4th with 44 points.

Next, Sefwi All Stars will travel to Cape Coast to face Venomous Vipers on Sunday, June 9, 2024.
