The Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council in the Western North Region, led by Katakyire Kwasi Bumagamah II, has been honoured for its remarkable contribution to healthcare development.
The Council in June 2024 donated GH₵300,000 in support of the “Heal Okomfo Anokye Hospital Project,” an initiative aimed at enhancing healthcare services at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

During the Akwasidae celebration at the Manhyia Palace, a delegation representing the Paramount Chief of the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council, Katakyie Kwasi Bumangama II, presented the cheque to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
In recognition of their selfless support, the Wiawso Traditional Council has been bestowed with a prestigious honour, with their name inscribed on the Wall of Honour at KATH.
