History of Kofikrom ‘W’ Anglican Junior High School

Kofikrom ‘W’ Anglican Junior High School which was founded in 1987 as a mission school formerly Middle school has stood as a beacon of learning in the community for years now. It was established with the vision of providing exceptional education to students with 26 pupils, 18 boys and 8 girls.

The school has since become renowned for its unwavering commitment to academic excellence, holistic development, and nurturing a compassionate learning community for Kofikrom, Betenase, Asiakrom and Ayisakrom.

From humble beginning, Kofikrom Anglican JHS has grown steadily, becoming one of the leading educational institutions in the region. The school is guided by a dedicated team of educators and administrators (Parents Association, School management committee, Chief and elders of Kofikrom), the school has consistently strived to instill a passion for knowledge and foster critical thinking skills among its students.

Throughout its history, the school has celebrated numerous noteworthy achievements. Its academic track record is replete with stellar performance in various competitions. Time and again, students from this school have secured top ranks in standardized tests from 2013 up to date, the school has performed tremendously well in the B.E.C.E with 100% record demonstrating the school’s commitment to academic rigor. 

The school prides itself on nurturing students who are not just academically proficient but also possess a thirst for knowledge that transcends boundaries. Beyond academics, the school places great emphasis on holistic development and character building. The school believes in providing a well-rounded education that encompasses not only intellectual growth but also the development of emotional intelligence, creativity, and a strong sense of ethics, and community service programs.

The school headed by Mr. Archer Daniel, the 25th head teacher of the school, the school was crowned the champions of the 2023 inter-schools football competitions.

Through various initiatives and programs, the school encourages empathy, respect and understanding among its students, preparing them to become responsible global citizens.
