Bibiani Goldstars stage sensational comeback to defeat Berekum Chelsea (Highlight)

Bibiani Goldstars demonstrated their determination to stay afloat in the Ghana Premier League by mounting a remarkable comeback to defeat Berekum Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

Despite conceding early in the game, the Miners rallied to secure a 3-1 victory over Berekum Chelsea in match-week 18 at Dun’s Park in Bibiani. Berekum Chelsea seized an early advantage through Mizack Afriyie’s goal in the 8th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error from Goldstars.

However, Prince Owusu Kwabena swiftly equalized for Bibiani Goldstars in the 12th minute. Throughout the first half, Bibiani Goldstars launched relentless attacks on the visitors’ defence, but goalkeeper Gregory Obeng Sekyere thwarted their efforts to find another goal before halftime.

After the break, Coach Frimpong Manso’s team intensified their offensive efforts, eventually finding the back of the net twice to end their winless streak against Berekum Chelsea.

Frank Amankwah scored in the 74th minute to give Bibiani Gold Stars a 2-1 lead over Berekum Chelsea.

In the 88th minute, Appiah Maccarthy’s late free-kick sealed the deal for Bibiani Goldstars, cementing their 3-1 victory over Berekum Chelsea at home.

Following this crucial win, Bibiani Goldstars climbed to 13th position with 21 points, while Chelsea dropped to sixth place with 27 points.
