Isaac Amoako, a determined individual aiming to break the Guinness World Record for the longest reading-aloud marathon, has regrettably halted his attempt due to financial challenges.
The ambitious event, which was slated to occur at the National Children’s and Mobile Library in Accra from March 5th to March 12th, 2024, came to an abrupt end on its third day, March 7th.
Sources close to the situation revealed that Amoako’s decision to terminate the attempt stemmed from discussions with his management team. It was determined that the financial burden associated with the event became insurmountable, prompting the difficult decision to cease the endeavour prematurely.
Leading up to the event, Amoako encountered significant financial hurdles, which intensified mere days before the scheduled attempt. The expenses, ranging from essential elements like TV coverage to medical support and logistical necessities crucial for the success and safety of the endeavor, proved to be overwhelming.
As of now, Amoako’s management team has yet to issue an official statement regarding the termination of the Guinness World Record attempt, leaving supporters and well-wishers eagerly awaiting further clarification on the matter.
