The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Premier League Club Bibiani Goldstars, John Akwasi Adu, has emphasized the importance of strategic planning over large capital in business success.
He urged the public to adopt a culture of saving in both their personal and professional lives. This message was delivered during the official launch and second anniversary celebration of Confident Ladies in Bibiani.
Akwasi Adu, who also serves as a Senior Financial Accountant at Asante Gold Bibiani Limited, highlighted the significance of financial independence and saving as critical steps toward reducing poverty.
He encouraged individuals to take control of their destinies by preparing for the future through consistent savings.
When it comes to starting a business, Akwasi Adu advised that a solid plan is more crucial than having substantial capital.
“One does not need to have huge amounts of capital to start a business, but a clear plan,” he stated, stressing the value of careful planning before embarking on any business venture.
He pointed out that many Ghanaians struggle with a lack of networks and mentorship from successful entrepreneurs, which hampers their ability to raise startup capital.
To address this, Akwasi Adu advised aspiring business owners to not only develop clear plans but also to seek connections with established businesses.
“And after drawing a clear plan, business starters should network with established businesses to learn how to run profitable ventures,” he added.
